Apophenia

A 21st century musician's notebook. By Better App Mafia.

An offline Android app for catching rough musical ideas the moment they happen (a hummed melody, a riff, a lyric line, a chord change) and working through them with real tools, full-depth theory and ear training.

No account, no internet permission, no ads, no analytics. Everything stays on your phone.

What's in it

• Board: one working sheet per project, with lyrics, chord charts, tab, sheet music, recordings and notes side by side.
• Library: every scrap you've caught, searchable, with takes kept and never edited.
• Tools: metronome, tuner, drone, recorder, playback speed, isolator, practice log.
• Learn: a Course, a Reference of every interval, scale, chord, progression and guitar tuning, and ear training.
• AI on the phone: notes from a recording, stems from a song, text from a spoken idea.
